Will Shuflit won the 10,000-meter race Saturday for his first career Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference title and helped the Colorado College men's track and field team to third place following the second day of the 2025 SCAC Championships in Seguin, Texas.
The Tigers, who have finished third in the last eight SCAC Championships, have 50 points, trailing McMurry (88) and Trinity (61).

Shuflit set a conference record in winning his first SCAC title with a 10K time of 31:35.1.
Axel Klomparens earned all-SCAC honors with a third-place finish in 32:56.63, while
Diego Escalante (4
th) and
Dominic Schwein scored for the Tigers by placing fourth and fifth, respectively.

Vincent Mangat placed second in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 9:34.69, followed by
Luc Santos in fourth in 9:51.01.

While those were the only finals on the track on Saturday, several Tigers earned a spot in running finals on Sunday, led by
Josh Williams, who posted the best time in the prelims of the 200 (21.3 seconds) and the 400 (48.05). Williams is looking to defend his title in each race.

Rabbit Barnes, the 2024 champion in the 800, clocked the best time in that race's prelims in 1:54.83.
Will Nakahara finished third and
Mack Levy eighth and will both run in the final on Sunday.

The other Tiger to earn a trip to the finals is
Chase Marks, who placed sixth in the 400 hurdles with a time of 58.3 seconds.

In the field on Saturday,
Sean Lam finished 11
th in the triple jump with a leap of 38'9".
