The Colorado College volleyball team continues conference play this weekend with a home match against the University of St. Thomas on Saturday, Sept. 27, beginning at 1 p.m., in Reid Arena.
Last Time Out
CC collected a perfect 2-0 last weekend in Texas to open SCAC play. The Tigers captured a 3-0 sweep over Texas Lutheran and a 3-1 victory over Concordia.
Camille Sherrill led all players with 17 kills against TLU, followed by
Carolyn Dormady and
Brooke Brilliant with eight apiece. Freshman
Delaney Dorscht equaled her career-high with four kills.
Annie Joo led CC with 19 assists, while
Camden Goodman had 10 and
Meghan Gannon collected a team-high 15 digs, followed by Goodman with 11 and
Nyah Flores with a season-high 10.
In the four-set win over Concordia, Sherrill and Dormady led the Tigers with 16 kills apiece, followed by Brilliant with 11 and a match-high .476 hitting percentage. Dorscht and
Julia Reusch each had five, a career-high for Dorscht.
CC's setters were on fire throughout the match as Goodman posted 23 assists and Joo had 22. Goodman also collected a career-high 20 digs, followed by Gannon with 15 and Dormady with 12.
SCAC Weekly Award
For the second consecutive week, Colorado College junior
Camille Sherrill was named the SCAC Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week.
The Tigers collected a pair of road victories to open SCAC play. CC swept Texas Lutheran, 3-0, on Friday, and defeated Concordia (TX), 3-1, on Saturday.
Sherrill, from Missoula, Mont., Captured her second consecutive SCAC Offensive Player of the Week award by leading the Tigers with 33 kills. She had 17 kills and seven digs in the win over TLU, then produced 16 kills, eight digs and two aces against Concordia.
Scouting The Opposition
St. Thomas enters Saturday's contest with a 12-1 overall record and a 2-0 mark in the SCAC. The Celts defeated Concordia and TLU, each by a 3-1 score, last weekend.

CC returns to Texas next weekend for three SCAC matches in Houston. The Tigers will face the University of Dallas (10:30 am) and Austin College (3:30 pm) on Saturday, Oct. 4, and Hendrix College on Sunday, Oct. 5, at 11 am.
