Colorado College women's basketball senior guard Kayla Mackel has been named to the D3hoops.com National Team of the Week following a dominant 2-0 weekend in Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference play.

Mackel led the Tigers to road victories over Concordia (TX) and Texas Lutheran, combining for 59 points, 14 rebounds, six three-pointers, four steals and three blocks. She averaged 29.5 points and 7.0 rebounds per game across the two contests. The performances also earned her the SCAC Offensive Player of the Week honors. 

On Friday in Austin, Mackel recorded her second 30-point game of the season, finishing with 30 points on 53 percent shooting from the floor while adding eight rebounds. She followed with 29 points in Saturday's win at Texas Lutheran, shooting 59 percent from the field and 63 percent (5-for-8) from three-point range, along with six rebounds.

For the season, Mackel is averaging 16.3 points per game while shooting 45.9 percent from the field and 34.1 percent from three-point range. She has totaled 245 points, 64 rebounds, 31 assists, 24 steals and 17 blocks through 15 games.

The Tigers are 10-0 in SCAC play and sit in first place in the SCAC Gold Division.
