The Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) announced its preseason preview and predictions for the 2026 women's lacrosse season, with Colorado College selected to finish first in a vote of the league's head coaches and sports information directors.
CC is projected to capture its third consecutive regular-season title after advancing to the second round of the 2025 NCAA Division III Championship. The Tigers secured their second straight WIAC Tournament crown a year ago and enter the new campaign with significant experience returning.
Leading the way are junior Charlotte Iler, the 2025 WIAC Offensive Player of the Year, junior Sofia Mancino, the 2025 WIAC Midfielder of the Year, and senior Cassidy Schnaufer, the 2025 WIAC Defensive Player of the Year.
Ranked No. 22 in the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Preseason Poll, CC has not dropped a conference contest in the past two seasons, compiling a 15-0 mark in WIAC play.
