Box Score 2 No. 8 Colorado College earned a pair of sweeps during Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference action as the Tigers beat the University of Dallas and Austin College on Saturday afternoon in Irving, Texas.

Senior outside hitter
Abbe Holtze led the team offensively with a combined 25 kills on the day, while adding a combined 31 digs on defense. Freshman setter
Lizzy Counts had an outstanding day combining for 73 assists, 19 digs and 10 kills during the pair of matches. Â

During the first match of the day, the Tigers dominated in three-straight sets to beat Dallas, 25-21, 25-14, 25-15. CC held the Crusaders to a .056 hitting percentage, which was the 12th time this season that the Tigers have held their opponent to hitting less than a .100 attack percentage.

Colorado College also hit a .306 attack percentage against Dallas (7-13, 2-6 SCAC) for its second highest hitting percentage this season. The Tigers hit 48 kills on 121 attempts with just 11 errors.

Holtze led CC's attack with 12 kills, while hitting a .333 attack percentage with just three errors in 27 attempts. Holtze also earned her ninth double-double of the season with 17 digs.

Reagan Folaron helped anchor the back row with 18 and 13 digs, respectively.

In Colorado College's final match of the day, the Tigers beat Austin (14-9, 5-4 SCAC) in close sets, 26-24, 25-21, 26-24, to improve to 16-3 on the season and 7-2 in the SCAC.

Austin's middle hitter Presleigh Watson tied the first set at 24-24 with a kill when Holtze answered back drilling down a kill and then served an ace to help CC take the early 1-0 lead.

The 'Roos looked to take the third set, but a kill by Folaron tied the set at 24-24. Counts gave the Tigers the lead with a kill and a hitting error by Austin gave CC the match.

Holtze earned her second double-double of the day and 10th of the season with 14 digs and a team-high 13 kills. Counts also earned her 10th double-double of the season with 35 assists and 13 digs.

Gurolnick earned a career-high 32 digs in the back row, while Folaron tied a season-high 17 digs and added nine kills on offense. Junior middle hitter
Glenna Yancey anchored the defense at the net with six blocks and had seven kills on offense.

Colorado College will return home to host the Pikes Peak Challenge on Oct. 14-15 in Reid Arena. The Tigers host a pair of nationally ranked programs during the tournament: No. 14 Eastern University and No. 23 Millikin University. CC begins the tournament against Luther College at 2 p.m. on Friday. Â
