Box Score No. 8 Colorado College held Johnson & Wales University to a .045 hitting percentage to earn a dominate 3-0 sweep, Wednesday evening during a non-conference matchup in Denver.

This was the 11th time this season that the Tigers have held their opponents to hitting under a .100 attack percentage. CC held Johnson & Wales to 31 kills on 111 attempts, while forcing 26 hitting errors.

Reagan Folaron led the Tigers' offense with eight kills and added five digs. Senior outside hitter
Abbe Holtze and freshman middle hitter
Marguerite Spaethling also added seven kills each to aid the offensive attack, while Holtze picked up 12 digs.

Lizzy Counts set up a ball for sophomore right side hitter
Anna Grigsby to spike down and help ignite a 13-5 run to take a 22-15 lead on a kill by Holtze. CC went on to win the first set 25-17.

Anna Gurolnick anchored the back row with 20 digs to help the Tigers improve to 14-2 on the season.

Glenna Yancey earned four of her team-high six blocks in the first set alone to help CC take the early lead. Yancey also contributed to the offense with five kills.

With the second set tied at 6-6, The Tigers forced the Wildcats into an attack error to spark an 11-4 run that was capped by another attack error by JWU to take a 17-10 advantage. CC held Johnson & Wales to a -.062 attack percentage in the second set to earn a 25-16 win.

The Widlcats (11-16) led the third set 17-13, but a 5-1 run by the Tigers tied the game on a block by freshman outside hitter
Jordan Mullen and Yancey. JWU rallied back to take a 22-19 lead with a block by Danielle Giannini and Kelley Mclain, however, CC finished the match on a 6-1 run to take the final set and the match at 25-23.

McLain led Johnson & Wales with nine kills, while Ashlee Ruehs earned 24 assists. Â The defense was led by Sierra Joyner and Hannah Christianson with 14 and 13 digs, respectively.
