Colorado College junior Will Shuflit has been named the SCAC Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week for the second time this season.
 
Shuflit, from Park City, Utah, became the second CC runner to win the school's home cross country meet in consecutive years and led the 25th-ranked Tigers to a second-place finish Saturday morning at the Ted Castaneda Classic at North Monument Valley Park.
 
He finished the 8K race in 24 minutes, 49.46 seconds, more than 15 seconds faster than runner-up Joseph White of Division I Air Force. Shuflit joins Jackson Brainerd (2008, '09) as the only back-to-back winners of the event from CC.
 
The Tigers return to action at the Paul Short Run on Friday, Oct. 3 in Bethlehem, Pa.
